Meet Sydney

Sydney is a deeply dedicated instructor who understands physical pain, trauma in the body, and the need and desire to be active. 

She started her Pilates journey in the early 2000s during her recovery from radiation therapy and has used it to rehabilitate from a motor vehicle accident, shoulder dislocation, bilateral adductor tears, and foot and leg surgery.  

With over 18 years of experience, Sydney has become a dual-certified instructor in Stott Pilates and Balanced Body Pilates. She trained under master instructor Jaqueline Martin, who studied under Jay Grimes, a direct student of Joseph Pilates. She is currently an assistant educator for Balanced Body Pilates training programs here in Victoria, BC.

Sydney has furthered her education and certifications in Booty Barre, Pilates for Scoliosis, Pilates for Breast Cancer, Zenga Flow Pilates, Chronic Pain Yoga, Cardio Tramp for Pilates, Athletic Pilates, Advanced Pilates principles for Lower Back Pain, and is also a 500 RYT yoga instructor. 

Sydney has worked with various clients at all levels and abilities as a physiotherapy assistant and in athletic settings - including professional athletes and those covered by ICBC or WCB claims. I offer an inclusive environment for everybody.
